Our hosts were very kind persons, it was easy to communicate with them and they were helpful: recommend programs and restaurants, help to organize the easiest way back home. After 3 days when we go out to the beach, they clean the apartman (by prior agreement). I strongly recommend them. :)

Our Lady of the Rocks
Our Lady of the Rocks is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro (the other being Sveti Đorđe island). It is an artificial island created by bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. The Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks (Montenegrin: Gospa od Škrpjela) is the largest building on the islet, and has a museum attached to it. There is also a small gift shop close to the church and a navigation light at the western end of the islet.
According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on July 22nd 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea. The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays. Every year on the sunset of July 22nd, an event called fašinada in the local dialect, when local residents take their boats and throw rocks into the sea, widening the surface of the island, takes place.
This islet is close to Perst. There are many boat tours from Herceg Novi which includes visit to this islet. Some of them are PETAR BOATS, PAJO BOATS and DELFIN BOATS.
You can also go to Perast by bus. Buses depart from the main bus station in Herceg Novi, and you can check for all destinations on the website BusTicket4Me.
Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is a city in southern Dalmatia, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. It is named by Proto-Slavic word that means oak forest.
The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade with Ottoman Empire and many more countries from American continent to India during the early Middle Ages and for most of the time was only rival to Republic of Venice on the east part of the Adriatic Sea. Due to wealth and skilful diplomatic relations, Dubrovnik developed significantly, especially in the 15th and 16th century.
If you don’t plan to visit Herceg Novi by car, there are tourist agencies which offers half day tours to Dubrovnik. Some of them are Happy Travel and Trend Travel .

Adrenaline Park Vrbanj
Park is made in beech forest in Vrbanj village, close to Herceg Novi. All environmental protection standards are met and only natural materials are used to build this park. It is at an altitude of 1100 m and is one of the most modern adrenaline parks in the region. It is spread over 7,000 square meters and consists of 4 polygons with 44 elements in total. There is fifth polygon with zip-line that is 200 m long. Polygons are distributed by categories, form the easiest, which is adjusted even for children 6 years old, to the most complicated one, that is adjusted for skilled and experienced users. Kotor
Kotor, historically known as Cattaro (from Italian: pronounced [ˈkattaro]), is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor.
The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor, one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called it the southernmost fjord in Europe, but it is a ria, a submerged river canyon. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovcen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive landscape.
The fortified city of Kotor was also included in UNESCO’s World Heritage Site list as part of Venetian Works of Defence between 16th and 17th centuries in 2017.

Zanjic beach
Zanjic beach is located in a cove, deep into the mainland of the Lustica peninsula, 3.8 nautical miles away from Herceg Novi, surrounded by the azure blue sea and old olive groves. The beach is made of white pebbles, 300 m long, 15 m wide and can accommodate about 1000 people. Next to the Zanjic is olive groves where you can seek shade, drink good wine and enjoy in gourmet specialties. Perast
Perast lies beneath the hill of St Ilija (873 m), on a cape that separates the Bay of Risan from Bay of Kotor, and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of the Bay of Kotor. According to the presumptions of the archaeologists, the first settlements appeared in the area of Perast in the Neolithic. There are also monuments of the Illyrian, Roman, and early Christian periods. The city was founded by the Illyrians, named after one of the local tribes, Pirusti.
From the earliest days, Perast was oriented towards the sea and shipping. The first memories of Perast refer to 1336—at that time there was a small fishing village, which had a shipyard, and there were always several commercial and fishing boats in the harbour. This shipyard was working until 1813. However, Perast experienced its greatest prosperity in the 17th and 18th centuries, when about a hundred ships from Perast sailed the world’s seas.

Blue Cave
Blue Cave is one of the most beautiful and largest cave in a series of caves, on the coast of Lustica peninsula in Bay of Kotor. The cave is located between Zlatna Luka bay and headland Mokra Gora, and it is 5.7 nautical miles from Herceg Novi.
It has two openings at an angle of 45 degrees, a smaller opening on the south side and a larger one on the southwest side, which is 3 m high and about 15 m wide, so that boats and smaller ships can enter inside the cave.
The depth of the sea inside the cave is 4 – 5 m. The height from sea level to the top of the ceiling is 9 m, and its area is about 300 m². It got its name from the unusual crystal blue colour that is created by the reflection of the sun rays that bounce off its surface during clear days.
This cave can only be approached from the sea.
There are many daily boat tours from Zanjic to this cave. Some of them are PETAR BOATS, PAJO BOATS and DELFIN BOATS.
National park Lovcen
National park Lovcen is situated in southeast part of Europe, in Montenegro. National park is central and highest part of mountain Lovcen, with an area of 6,220 hectares. It was declared a National Park in 1952.
Located in south-western part of Montenegro, it rises form the edges of the Adriatic basin, closing long and curving bays of Boka, forming hinterland to the ancient city of Kotor.
